DAY 01: ARRIVE IN CHRISTCHURCH

On arrival in Christchurch, 'The Garden City', seat in coach passengers will be met by our local representative and privately transferred to your hotel. Self drive passengers will collect your rental car at the airport and drive to your hotel.

 

DAY 02: CHRISTCHURCH - QUEENSTOWN (B)

Travel across the fertile Canterbury Plains before arriving at Lake Tekapo. Continue south to the small town of Twizel before traveling through the historic Central Otago region to Lake Wakatipu and the 'Alpine Resort' of Queenstown.  

 

DAY 03: QUEENSTOWN (B)

A free day to explore the endless optional attractions available. Queenstown offers bungy jumping, jetboating, white water rafting, gondola rides and much more. Optional activities not included in the tour price.  

 

DAY 04: QUEENSTOWN - DOUBTFUL SOUND - TE ANAU (B)

Experience the peacefulness and tranquility of Doubtful Sound by coach with 2 boat cruises included, on Lake Manapouri and Doubtful Sound. This area is not visited as much as Milford Sound and is therefore a truly natural piece of paradise! 

 

DAY 05: TE ANAU - INVERCARGILL - STEWART ISLAND (B)

Depart Te Anau this morning and travel through the town of Gore to reach Invercargill, New Zealand's southernmost city. You will be transferred to Bluff to collect the Stewart Island ferry. On arrival in Oban on Stewart Island, you will enjoy a guided tour of the island by mini coach. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.   

 

DAY 06: STEWART ISLAND - INVERCARGILL (B)

Today is at your leisure on Stewart Island until check in for your return flight to Invercargill (one way flight included). There are many optional wildlife cruises and walks in this untouched natural area that you may wish to take (optional activities not included). On arrival in Invercargill you will be transferred to your accommodation. 

 

DAY 07: INVERCARGILL - DUNEDIN (B) 

Today seat in coach passengers will travel inland to Gore then through to Dunedin by coach. Self drive passengers head along the Catlin's Coast, past sweeping beaches and towering cliffs to the Scottish influenced city of Dunedin. 

 

DAY 08: DUNEDIN - CHRISTCHURCH (B)

Depart Dunedin and travel north to the Garden City of Christchurch. This afternoon is at your leisure in Christchurch.

 

DAY 09: DEPARTURE (B)

Your arrangements conclude today with a departure transfer or the return of your rental car. We trust you enjoyed your SWV Vacation!

Accommodation is based on Run of House rooms unless otherwise stated. Seaview and lakeview rooms will incur a supplementary charge. If any of these properties are unavailable at the time of booking, similar accommodation will be provided and a surcharge may apply. SWV will endeavor to provide accommodation of a similar standard as requested, however as the choice of accommodation is limited in remote areas, we will use the best available options

Seat in Coad basis

With all seat in coach packages including a private meet and great on arrival,you will be transferred by private car to your hotel and not have to think about finding your way through the airport or driving directions after your long flight!

 

The remainder of your Seat in Coach holiday will be using a premier fleet of high quality, tourist coaches with driver/guides and commentary of most routes.  Majority coach services include hotel pickups and drop off's so you do not have to arrange any further transfers.
