Itinerary
DAY 01 : ARRIVAL CAIRO ( D)
Upon arrival to Cairo airport, our representative will assist you through passport control formalities, luggage identification and portage. From the airport you will be transferred by a private A/C car to your hotel.
DAY 02 : PYRAMIDS OF GIZA TOUR (B, L)
Start your full day visiting the Egyptian Museum of antiquities. On display is a rare collection of 5000 years of art the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to the Tutankhamen collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry. Visit Giza Pyramids the Great Pyramids – Cheops, Chephren & Mykerions. Cheops is the most colossal ever built. Next is a close-up look at Sphinx – a huge funeral complex guarded by the legendary lion body with the face of king Chephren. Then we'll visit Khan El Khalili Bazaars. Shops in this district are legendary for fine border brass ware, copper, perfumes, leather, silver, gold, antiques, etc. Around 7:00pm we'll transfer to the train station for your overnight sleeper train to Aswan. DAY 03 : ASWAN (B)
Enjoy breakfast aboard the train before you arrive in Aswan, where our representative will transfer you to your hotel. Later take Abu Simbel Temple Tour - Abu Simple Temple the colossal Temple of Abu Simbel built by Ramses II (XIXth. Dynasty) and lately saved from inundation of the Nile waters in among the glories of ancient Egyptian monuments. The temples were built out of a sandstone rock cliff, and representation of the deities to which each was dedicated is carved on its huge façade. Nearby, also saved, lies the small temple to the King’s wife Nefertari, dedicated to the goddess Hathor. This excursion can be undertaken by bus.
DAY 04 : NILE CRUISE - KOM OMBO (B, L, D)
After breakfast we'll transfer you to board your Nile cruise. Set sail and see the High Dam and the Philae Temple. Enjoy lunch on board as we sail down to Kom Ombo. Here we'll visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, shared by the two gods Sobek and Haroeris. Then we'll continue to Edfu.
DAY 05: NILE CRUISE - EDFU (B, L, D)
Enjoy breakfast on board before we arrive at the Temple of Horus in Edfu. From here we'll cross the lock and sail to Luxor. Dinner on board and enjoy a Galabya party
DAY 06 : NILE CRUISE - WEST BANK, VALLEY OF THE KINGS (B, L, D)
Enjoy breakfast on board before we cross to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. First we'll visit the tombs of various Dynasties in the Valley, namely the Temple of Deir El Bahari. On the return journey stop at the Colossi of Memnon which are two gigantic sitting statues representing Amenophis III facing the Nile and visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Lunch on board. Afternoon free at leisure.
DAY 07 : NILE CRUISE - EAST BACK, DISEMBARK (B, L, D)
After breakfast we'll disembark and explore the East Bank to visit the Karnak and Luxor Temple At Luxor Temple, we'll see its courtyard and the granite statues of Ramses the Great Proceed. Then we'll travel by carriage or bus to Karnak, which is a series of temples, built in different reigns. Begin at the Avenue of Sphinxes where you'll visit the Unfinished Propylon, the Hypo style Hall with it’s 134 gigantic columns, the Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Tutomosis III, the temple of Amon adorned with lotus and papyrus designs, the Granite Scarbeus of Amenophis III and the Sacred Lake. Luxor Hot Air Balloon (optional) - USD 90.00 Should you want to make your stay in Luxor an unforgettable, join us for a hot air balloon and drift peacefully over the Valley of King, Valley of the Queens and the Mountain on the Nobles. Around 7:00pm we'll transfer to the train station for your overnight sleeper train to Cairo. Dinner on the train.
DAY 08 : CAIRO - ALEXANDRIA (B)
•Enjoy breakfast aboard the train before you arrive in Aswan, where our representative will transfer you to Alexandria for check in. Later we'll tour the city, starting with the Roman Theater, a theater with marble seats up to 800 spectators, galleries, section of mosaic flooring and a pleasure garden surrounded by Roman Villas and baths. Then we'll visit Pompey's Pillar, followed by a visit to the Catacomb of Kom El-Shoqafa. Here we'll discover tombs on three levels, which contain the Triclinium, a banquet hall where families and friends gather for funerals. We'll also see 2nd Century AD statues of Sobec and Anubis, who wear Roman Armor. Then we'll visit the Elsawary, Montaza Garden, Alexandria Library, Qaytbay Citadel and El Mursi Abu Elabas.
DAY 09 : ALEXANDRIA - CAIRO (B, D)
After breakfast we'll return to Cairo and check into your hotel. You can relax or join an optional tour. Sakkara Tour. Sakkara is 27-Km Southwest of Cairo. This is the first proper Pyramids built for the king Zoser. It is considered evolution of the Pyramid from the simple Mastaba to the Pyramid in its known form. Next we'll visit the Pyramids of Unas, Oser-Kaf the Mastaba, Tomb of Mereruka, and Ti & Pta-Hotep (carved and painted tombs). Then we'll travel to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt where Colossal Statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx. From here we'll visit the old part of Cairo. Here we'll learn how Egypt was one of the first countries to embrace Christianity. We visit the Church of Abu-Sergah and St. Barbara, the Hanging Church, and the Old Jewish Synagogue Ben Ezra Synagogue. Nile Dinner Cruise. Tonight enjoy a scenic Nile dinner cruise, complete with hotel trnasfers, dinner, a belly dancer show and tanura show.
DAY 10 : CAIRO DEPARTURE (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, our representative will transfer you to the airport and assist you at the airport through final departure formalities.
