Itinerary

DAY 01 : ARRIVAL SIEM REAP 

Today you'll arrive at Siem Reap International Airport where you'll be greeted by your professional English Speaking Guide and transferred to hotel for check in.

 

DAY 02 : SIEM REAP (B, L, D)

After breakfast at the hotel we'll head to the South Gate of Angkor Thom. The last capital of Angkor Period (AD 802-1432) until the 15th century, was indeed a Great City as its name implied. Here we'll visit Bayon Temple, one of the most popular sites in Angkor complex, with over 200 large faces caved on the 54 towers, which at that time represents the 54 provinces in The Khmer Empire. all this gives this temple its majestic character. We'll also visit Bapoun Temple, Phimean Akas Temple, Terrace of Elephant, Terrace of Leper King, Woman and Man Pond, and theRoyal Palace Temple. In the afternoon we'll proceed to visit Ta Prohm Temple. It was built in AD 1186 by King Jayavarman VII. Trunks of trees twist amongst stone pillars and spread their gigantic roots over, under and in between the stones, probing walls and terraces apart, make this temple even more extractive and a worth visit place during your stay. The next temple that you cannot miss to visit is the main Angkor Wat Temple, one of the seven wonders and the greatest temple in the world. After your full day tour of the temples, you can relax and enjoy a buffet dinner with Khmer Traditional dance show (Amazon restaurant).

DAY 03 : SIEM REAP - BANTEAY SREI (B, L, D)

Depart this morning for Banteay Srei, the only major temple that was not built by a monarch. It was constructed in the 10th century and was dedicated to the Hindu god - Shiva. Banteay Srei translates to “Citadel of the Women” and is one of Angkor’s most significant structures as its walls are decorated with elaborate carvings which have been preserved remarkably well and on the way back visit to Banteay Samre a Hindu temple was built in the early of 12th century. Afternoon, take a short drive to the Roulous temples, the ruins of Roulous are among the oldest Khmer monuments in the area, dating back to the 9th century reign of King Indravarman I. Witness the evolution of these magnificent temples from the early days of the Khmer empire up to its peak with the Angkor temples in the 13th century. There are three key Hindu structures that remain at Roulous; Lolei, Bakong and Preah Ko, which were all part of the ancient city of Hariharalaya.

DAY 04 : SIEM REAP-TONLE SAP LAKE (FLOATING MARKET)  (B, L, D)

Following breakfast we'll visit the Floating Village at Tonle Sap Lake, the largest permanent freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. Our cruise across Tonle Sap is a pleasant break from the temples, where you will experience the fishermen and their families who live on the water and form the so called floating Village. In the afternoon we'll visit a Silk Farm and witness the way how local people producing Khmer Silk such as Phamung, Lboeuk and Holm using traditional method. Then we'll return to Siem Reap for dinner.

DAY 05 : SIEM REAP - NATIONAL MUSEUM - SILK FARM (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we will visit to the Angkor National Museum, which offers a comprehensive collection of Cambodian artifacts showcasing the origins of Khmer art, culture, and architecture. With eight galleries in total, it covers in depth the history of Cambodia and the Khmer Empire as well as a fascinating collection of Buddhist artifacts. Following lunch, we'll visit the Angkor Silk Farm in Siem Reap. This is an extensive and well documented foundation that gives excellent insight into how silk is traditionally made in Cambodia. We'll visit the Silk Farm and follow each step of the silk process, from growing the mulberry trees to providing the essential ingredients to grow and feed silkworms. An on-site shop allows you to bring home some memorable souvenirs or gifts for your loved ones back home.

DAY 06 : SIEM REAP DEPARTURE (B, L, D)
Following breakfast we'll visit Le Artisan D’Angkor Center, a place where traditional handicrafts and sculptures are made. Do some shopping and then transfer to local restaurant for lunch. After lunch, we will visit the Killing Fields of Wat Thmei where it remains from the Pol Pot Regime from 1975-79 AD and visit the Old Market. Next, we'll enjoy a a free body/foots massage (one hour, children not included). We'll have dinner at a local restaurant and enjoy free time at Pub Street till your evening transfer to the Airport for departure flights.
