ITINERARY

DAY 01 : ARRIVE ATHENS -  SUNSET TOUR - CAPE SOUNIO 

You will be picked from Airport and transferred to hotel. Later in the evening join our guided half day tour to Cape Sounion and experience a breathtaking sunset at the unique temple of Poseidon, the God of the Seas in ancient times. Our tour starts with a wonderful drive along the Athens Rivera. During this relaxing ride with your luxury air-conditioned bus you’ll enjoy splendid views of the Saronic Gulf while passing through some of Athens’ most beautiful suburbs, including Hellinikon Olympic complex, Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, and Varkiza. Arriving at the Cape Sounion, you will visit the 5th century B.C. Temple of Poseidon with its magnificent panoramic view of the Aegean Sea (on a clear day you can see at least seven islands).

DAY 02 : ATHENS CITY SIGHTSEEING (B)

You will have breakfast at the hotel and today you will immerse yourself into the past and present of the fascinating city of Athens, stroll the halls of the famous Acropolis Museum and see Ancient Greece with your own eyes. Discover the fascinating history of the ancient city of Athens. Visit the Panathenaic Stadium, one of the oldest stadiums in the world.
Explore the magnificent exhibitions in the Acropolis Museum.

 

Today you will learn all about Athens’ ancient and modern history on this half-day tour of the city. Take a trip alongside expert guides, who will knowledgeably let you in on all there is to know and more about this fascinating city, in which past and present constantly blend. Begin by spending some time at the breath-taking Panathenaic Stadium, a magnificent construction erected on the remains of an ancient stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896.

Then, as you continue, pass by the Royal Palace, the private residence of Greece’s Prime Minister. Keep a lookout for the Euzones, the Palace’s guards in their colourful uniforms! You will also be able to appreciate many incredible landmarks drenched in history, such as Hadrian’s Arch, the Greek Parliament in Syntagma Square and Athens’ memorial to the Unknown Soldier. Also discover the beauty of world-renowned modern institutions such as the University, the National Library and the Academy, named after the famous Academy founded by the philosopher Plato in the classical Greek era.

Last but not least, you will visit the Acropolis, an old plateau abundant with various symbols of ancient Greece, the most magnificent of which are the remains of the Parthenon. 

 

DAY 03 : ARRIVAL MYKONOS -CITY AND ISLAND TOUR  (B)

Mykonos - Labyrinth and Landscape... A pearl in the Aegean Sea - blue sky, beautiful snow- white houses, lovely beaches everywhere...

Starting the City-and Island tour by walking the small and narrow streets, we have many possibilities to take nice photographs in the early morning, quiet city.

We get orientation and information in the labyrinth of the old town as well as impressions of the small port and the churches in town. Of course we will see the famous wind-mills and find Petros The Pelecan, the mascot of Mykonos.

After this we are exploring the island with a bus, visiting some of the most famous beaches and the inner land- scape. We see fishermen and kaikis, small private chapels and houses built in typical cycladic style.

In the second main village of Mykonos, Ano Mera, an idyllic place 6km from town, where the guests have enough free time for a stroll around the traditional square and they can visit the monk monastery Panagia Tourliani built in the 16th century.

Next stop is Kalafatis beach were there is time to relax a little and have a coffee or a refreshment (not included in the price), before going back to town and to reach a place with a fantastic view all over the town and neigh- bour islands.

A Half-Day-Trip with a lot of impressions and useful information!

DAY 04 : FULL DAY SOUTH COAST CRUISE  (B, L)

Cruise the crystal clear waters of the Aegean sea and discover the most beautiful beaches of the protected south coast of Mykonos.

We start the cruise along the South Coast and relax on our traditional Greek Kaiki style ship while passing closely all the beautiful beaches of the South Coast. If weather permits we cross over to the uninhabited island of Dragonissi with its caves and stunning rock formations; these are full of minerals and create the most amazing colors in the water. With some luck, we see the wild mountain goats and eagles.

Afterwards, we stop at the natural beach of Frangias where we have time for swimming and snorkeling in the crystal clear water. We have a picknick on the beach with wine, Ouzo, and Greek snacks.

Our next stop is at the picturesque bay of Kalafatis where you can relax and enjoy lunch in a beautifully located restaurant right by the sea. Lunch consists of a personal Greek salad, Tzatziki, bread, oven roast chicken with potatoes or a vegetarian pasta dish, 1/4 l of wine and water. After lunch, you have time at leisure to spend on the beach or in the coffee bar by the sea. Also, there is the possibility for plenty of water sports activities on Kalafatis beach.

We then board our boat to continue for our next stop at the famous Paradise Beach. Here you have the opportunity for another swim or to see the party in the Tropicana Bar which has just recently been elected as one of the best beach bars worldwide.

We cruise back to Ornos and on our way make a stop at Plati Yalos Beach with the possibility of disembarkation there.

The tour ends at Ornos Beach.

DAY 05 : ARRIVAL CRETE -VENETIAN CRETE  (B, D)

After Breakfast transfer to Athens airport and fly to Heraklion. Pickup from Airport in Shared Transfer with a/c, modern coach to the hotel in Gouves, Chersonissos area. Dinner at hotel and Overnight at hotel in Gouves or Chersonissos area on half board basis.

 

DAY 06 : CRETE / BOAT TRIP TO THE ISLAND OF SPINALONGA (B, D)

Pick up at the hotel after breakfast. Spinalonga is one of the most famous spots in Crete, and sometimes called the ‘island of tears’ due to its past as a leper colony. It was initially a Venetian fortress, it became the home for hundreds of Greece’s lepers who were shipped there and formed a colony. Once there, you’ll take a guided walk around the remains of the colony. See its main street, still lined with the shops and houses where the lepers attempted to live ordinary lives. Later, you’ll sail back to Elounda, where you’ll have a typical Cretan lunch and have free time to walk around, do some shopping or go for a swim. Accommodation: Hotel Astir Beach l or similar 4*/ Hotel Hara Ilios or similar 3*. Overnight at hotel in Gouves or Chersonissos area on half board basis. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

DAY 07 : CRETE / PALACE OF KNOSSOS – HERAKLION TOWN (B, D)

Pick up at the hotel after breakfast. The Palace of Knossos dates back to 1900 BC, it was the hub of Crete’s Minoan civilization and where the fearsome Minotaur was said to have lurked in the labyrinth. Your guide will explain the myths surrounding the palace and its Kings as they lead you round its treasures. Then, visit Heraklion, see the Venetian lion fountain and the loggia that is now the Town Hall before finishing up at the entrance to the old harbor. Here, the time’s your own to explore. Take advantage also of the guided tour in the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion. Overnight at hotel in Gouves or Chersonissos area on half board basis. Breakfast and dinner included.

DAY 08 : CRETE / DEPARTURE TO SANTORINI + PREMIUM SEMI PRIVATE CATAMARAN CRUISE (B, L)

Pick up at the hotel after breakfast. Shared Transfer with a/c modern coach from hotel in Gouves, Chersonissos area to the airport. Check into the hotel and later in the evening arrive at Harbor.The cruise starts from Vlychada port at 14:45 and sails along the coastline to reach its first stop at the Red Beach area where guests can swim and snorkel for 30 minutes. Next stop is the White Beach where the guests can enjoy swimming and snorkeling for 1 hour and 30 minutes while the BBQ menu is being prepared by the crew. Then the tour continues sailing below the Indian Rock, the ancient Lighthouse, Akrotiri and the Aspronisi island in order to reach the third stop, the Hot Springs, and the guests can also swim in this stop for 30 minutes. Reaching the end of the tour, sailing below the caldera towards Oia in order to watch the sunset just outside Ammoudi port below the Oia village. The tour ends in Ammoudi port.

DAY 09 : SANTORINI FULL DAY BUS TOUR (B)

Explore the island of Santorini in a day. Learn about the history of the island, admire the architecture of its traditional villages, leisure at its volcanic beaches and live Oia’s sunset experience!

Start your journey with a short photo stop at the famous volcanic beach, well known for the unique color of the sand, its soaring red lava cliffs, and clear green waters.


later take a Guided tour of the so-called “Prehistoric Pompei” or “Lost Atlantis”, buried and preserved by the volcanic ash of one of the largest volcanic eruptions in human history (17th century BC).


Enjoy free time to have lunch (on own) and relax at one of the longest black sandy beaches in the Cyclades and the most popular beach of Santorini.


Next explore one of the oldest and most authentic traditional villages of Santorini, built like a small labyrinth and visit its medieval fortress(15th century).

 

 Visit Santorini Winery and taste Santorini’s distinctive wines and learn about one of the oldest vineyards in Europe while admiring the spectacular view of the volcano.


Finish your tour with a short stop at the highest peak of Santorini (567 meters) to admire the striking panoramic view of the entire island. Before winding up the tour, you will be transferred to the popular village of Oia and the most photographed place in Greece. Enjoy free time to experience its legendary sunset and return back to your hotel.

DAY 10 : VOLCANO - HOT SPRINGS SUNSET DINNER CRUISE (B, D)

The excursion stars from the designated pick up points, from where will be driven to Athinios port in order to empark on the traditional boat. The first stop of your adventure is the volcano of Santorini in Nea Kameni Island, where you will have the opportunity to climb on the top of the volcano, see and take photos of the active crater and walk on its rims. The next destination is Palia Kameni where you will dive and swim in the hot springs created by the underwater powers of the volcano. Sailing above the underwater craters from Palia Kameni to Thirasia Island, the boat will anchor close to the island and you will have the time to ship with your wine. In the north cape of Santorini you will admire the magical view of Oia village with its small famous white houses! The end of the excursion comes on sunset time. The boat sets sails and the sun dives to the sea.
Dinner on board. Buffet style with pork rolls, chicken rolls, rise, baked pota-toes, Greek salad, tzatziki (bread, seasonal fruit, free local wine during buffet).

DAY 11 : DEPARTURE ATHENS (B)

After breakfast transfer to Santorini Harbor and later from Athens Harbor to Athens International Airport.

Note - For some tours, their won't be hotel pickup and drop. You will have to come to the pickup point on your own
